Marcy was born and raised in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. Her father’s love of animals and their family dog, hermit crabs, parakeets, and her first cat, Ziggy, all contributed to her early interest in becoming a veterinarian. For as long as she can remember, this was her goal in life. After high school, she attended the University of Michigan and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1993. She then attended the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University where she graduated with honors in 1998 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
During the summers while in college, she was a leader of outdoor education/travel trips for teenagers. These trips brought her to the western part of the country, where she discovered her love for Colorado and the mountains, in particular. Marcy practiced veterinary medicine for six years in Chicago before relocating to beautiful Colorado 11 years ago to enjoy the mountains and outdoor lifestyle.
For the past several years, Marcy has been practicing in Broomfield, as well as doing relief work as a veterinarian around the Denver/Boulder metro area. Marcy particularly enjoys internal medicine, dentistry, and also getting to know her clients and patients well, while providing them with the best care possible.
Marcy resides in Lafayette, with her dog Juno, and her cat, Simon. In her free time she enjoys skiing, snowboarding, hiking, reading, running, and socializing at local coffee shops.
