Examination/Consultation
A complete physical exam of your pet and a consultation with you is the first step to high quality patient care. We make every effort to answer any and all questions you may have about current health issues and possible treatment options. Our doctors have years of experience handling a wide variety of internal medicine and surgical cases.
Laboratory/Pharmacy
Alpine Hospital has one of the most comprehensive veterinary pharmacies in the area. Our laboratory offers the most modern equipment available to perform standard tests as well as complete blood chemistry panels, urinalysis, cultures and biopsies.
Anesthesia
Prior to receiving general anesthesia all patients receive a thorough physical examination. We also recommend pre-anesthetic blood testing before anesthesia is administered. We use only the safest anesthetic protocols available.
Surgery
Our surgery suite is fully equipped to handle every major soft tissue or orthopedic procedure currently being performed in private practice. We also offer endoscopy as part of our surgical services. We use up to date monitoring equipment to track heart rate and rhythm, blood pressure, respiration and oxygen saturation level. A surgical veterinary technician constantly monitors your pet throughout every procedure and recovery.
Dentistry
We offer your pet comprehensive dental care. Dental cleaning and polishing is offered without any sedation if your pet’s temperament allows, or an anesthetic dental can be performed using state of the art ultrasonic scalers and polishers. Veterinary dental specialists are available for consults for braces - yes, braces! - and root canals.
Radiology
Alpine Hospital has the capacity to take and develop radiographs on any size dog or cat. We also have a working relationship with board certified Veterinary Radiologists to consult with us on radiographs and, when indicated, perform ultrasound imaging on your pet.
Behavior Consultation
On staff we have veterinarians that have a special interest in behavior problems your pet may be experiencing. We can help you set up a plan to help your pet or refer you to an outside specialist if indicated.
Acupuncture
We have trained certified veterinary acupuncturists on staff to offer you an alternative to traditional medical care or to complement that care. Acupuncture can be used to help a variety of conditions that affect our pets, offering them relief. Acupuncture is safe and most pets enjoy their treatments! As indicated, we may also suggest other alternative medicine therapies.
Chemotherapy and cancer patient referrals
We welcome veterinary cancer patients and are comfortable handling referrals for follow up chemotherapy. Consultations on the right course of treatment and options for your pet are readily available.
Laser Therapy
Would you like to alleviate your pet’s pain without drugs? Alpine Hospital offers Class IV K-Laser therapy. Class IV delivers more power than previously available. This technology can benefit your pet in areas of pain management, post surgical wound healing and rehabilitation. Treatments vary according to the pet’s size and needs. A veterinarian will recommend a course of several visits to best meet your pet’s individual issue.
